We are insignificant. We are a tiny speck of cosmic dust floating about in space, but for some reason some of us think we are significant, some people think we were created for a divine purpose, by a higher power, that, “loves us more than we could possibly imagine”. Some believe we are capable of reaching a “higher level of consciousness” and every little action we take is recorded and we are judged by a cosmic system of “Good V Bad” and for some reason we all believe we are intelligent beings. Why do we believe we are more than we are, when we are clearly no more, and no better than any other speck of insignificant dust? If you pick up a handful of sand, are you going to take one grain and say “this grain is clearly better than the other grains”? No, of course not, all the grains are the same, just like us, we are the same as all the other “grains of sand” in our universe. Some don’t like to think about how insignificant we are, but I find this extremely comforting to know we are so minuscule in the grand scheme of things.
Now last night (for some reason, even though I hate it) I watched that Ancient Aliens show on the “History” channel, they were talking about Big Foot being either an Alien criminal that was dropped off on this planet as punishment, an alien devil hell beast that lives deep in the Earth like the mole people, some sort of giant, like Goliath, our evolutionary stepping stone that aliens took and spliced their own DNA into it to create us, some race of aliens that are here to mine gold, or some weird combination of ALL of that crazy BS. I still don’t understand why that show is even on television, let alone on the damn HISTORY channel, I also don’t understand why I watch it sometimes because it just pisses me off to no end, but I digress. That stupid show got me thinking about how stupid humans are, and how we survived this long is beyond me. But, the thing I really don’t understand is this overall theme that we, humans, are so important, smart, and genetically superior that aliens want to bread with us, or learn about us because we are so damn awesome. Have any of these crazies ever asked themselves why a super advanced alien race would ever do that? Or why our planet would be a location to collect resources? Just think about that for a second, a super advanced alien race, a race that is capable of intergalactic travel, would stop here, our tiny speck of dust, to make super hybrid creatures from monkeys, (aka, humans) and then just leave for some reason? Wouldn’t they at least be monitoring their experiment, taking notes, sending the findings back to their planet, you know like any other scientist? And wouldn’t there STILL be obvious alien experimentation going on IF Earth was some sort of alien test ground? Yeah, there are a thousand reasons why that theory is a bunch of bullcrap. As for resources, we aren’t anywhere near any other star systems, and as far as we know, we are the only “intelligent” life within our star system, and secondly, we don’t have anything unique to the universe. Our planet is pretty common in terms of resources and elements, so, the likelihood that, an advanced alien species would travel hundreds of thousands of light years, to collect resources they could get from a neighboring planet, is absolutely ridiculous.
*facepalm*
The question I am asking myself now is why am I even writing a blog about this, why am I wasting my time writing about something so stupid? Well, it’s because I can’t believe this show is on the History Channel, mostly. I mean, are they trying to make people Science illiterate/History illiterate, because that is exactly what they are doing by airing this garbage on television. I could understand if this show was on SciFi with the Ghost Hunter shows, but it’s not, and it’s packaged as fact! It’s pseudoscience, at best, and the worst part of the whole thing is the massive amount of idiots that believe the crap they say on that show, because it’s the History channel, therefore it must be true! So the internet is full of videos and wacko websites spreading this insane misinformation. In fact, the other day I can across, what looked to be, and interesting documentary about the belief of angels and why people believe they are real beings, well, it turned out to be a nutcase conspiracy video about how ancient astronaut theorists are “crazy” for thinking aliens are angles, when in fact, aliens are demons, but, they are correct that every mythological creature actually existed, but, not because of aliens, NO, NO, that’s nuts, mythological creatures were actually, genetically engineered by the super advanced civilization of Atlantis, but that angered god, so he flooded the world, and the reason we don’t know the “truth” is because it’s a massive global conspiracy cover-up orchestrated by the Satanist “new world order”. It was a three hour video, THREE HOURS of nonsensical bullcrap and I made it an hour before I just couldn’t take the stupidity anymore, tthe only reason I made it an hour in is because I thought it was absolutely hilarious at first, but then it just started to get really sad.
This current mass of misinformation that is everywhere, from TV, newspapers, magazines, and the internet is incredibly dangerous, because it’s getting harder and harder to separate fact from fiction, and we are stupid creatures! How is it that we can look indisputable evidence right in the face and denounce it as made up propaganda? How can some random person, who knows absolutely nothing about the subject, be so sure they are correct in their belief, or their opinion? I see it on facebook almost every single day, someone on my friend list goes to the doctor, the doctor tells them something they don’t want to hear, or believe, and the person complains that the doctor “obviously doesn’t know what he is doing” or “that doctor is such an idiot” as if they know better than the doctor. Another example, someone has some illness, medical science cures them and they give all credit to the fact they prayed to god every day, or the anti-vaccine people. They won’t get their children immunized because someone told them vaccines cause more problems than the disease itself, or that the vaccine will brainwash their children, or give their kid autism, or the people that believe breast milk/herbs cure ALL ills! I have even had friends tell me that I have allergies because I obviously wasn’t breast fed, when I tell them I most certainly was breast fed, they say, “well, you weren’t breast fed long enough”, right, because everyone should be breast fed until they are six. Or the ever so popular question regarding my allergies, “were you vaccinated?”, of course I was, “Well, the vaccines gave you the allergies” What?! NO, No they didn’t! The worst thing is, no matter how hard you try and tell them they are wrong, and if vaccines caused autism or allergies it would be a more wide spread problem, or the fact that there is absolutely NO link between vaccines and autism/creating allergies, they will still say that it’s big pharma propaganda, they just want your money, or they just want to control you, and when I ask for proof they send me a link to some website that says vaccines=bad herbal everything=good, right alongside articles saying to only drink bottled water, because fluoride is brainwashing you, Sunscreen causes skin cancer so, don’t use it, ever. You’re constantly being watched, and FEMA is going to behead you, organics are the only thing you should ever eat, and detox every couple months, no detox every month, NO Detox EVERY WEEK! Do you know how many chemicals THEY drop on you daily with chem trails, or how many chemicals are in YOUR HOME, YOUR FOOD, YOUR DIRT!! YOU’RE A WALKING CHEMICAL FACTORY!! DETOX DETOX DETOX!!!
Seriously, What the Fuck is wrong with people! How have we survived this long?!
