I just wanted to do a Quick little post here that contains the Donation information for Carli Richards, and Chris Townsend. Two victims of the massacre in Aurora Colorado. Hi Sinster Dreams. I actually was a bit weary whether I should post a comment, fear I”m being attached from your fellow follows. yikes! I’m just gonna throw out a question here, as this is a bit concerning to me.
Why is there more anger and hatred directed at the victim ( which is Cari in this case) and not at the man who chose to walk into a room and take lives away and victimized others? hmmm? I think we are forgetting the message here.
The author of this blog simply wants to help her friend that underwent this ordeal. May be somewhere out in the blog world, another victim’s friend is doing the same thing. It’s so hurtful to see people directing their angry at the wrong people. I hope your friend is recovering well and my heart goes out to the other victims and the ones who lost their lives that day.

I have been wondering that too, and I haven’t found an answer yet., these people are relentless also, they are trolling other victims, one of them being a man who was shot in the face. AND I just saw a post going around on Facebbok proclaiming the Holmes they have is innocent, and it’s a case of “mistaken identity” and that he is the victim in all of this because of some BS about a mental disorder brought on my trauma as a child. The HE, The Shooter is the victim?! There is something wrong with the people who believe that and pass it around.
I saw that and just about lost it because it pissed me off so much.
Just terrible how all this turned into an ugly battle of words. The irony in all of this is the situation steamed from a tragic event, and the tragic lays with the other people’s opinions. And that’s what golden here: other people’s opinions. It got hazy for me when they directed their angry at you and your friend. I’m not sure I get that. Unfortunately, we cannot control what others say, but fortunately we don’t have to listen to what they dispense. I would redirect your engery and focus on giving your friend support and help that they need. Nobody can’t judge what they would do in that sort of situation. I cannot imagined what I would do. Just scary. And she’s lucky to be alive. Funny thing, a similar story about the shooting has been posted on another bloggers site that wrote about a woman that died. I do wish the best for your friends and hope they recover soon!
Yeah I really don’t understand what the deal is with all the hate directed towards her, or me, or anyone else. It’s just so ridiculous. I think today I may ignore the blog for a couple days. Or at least try to.
And yes, living in a free society can be annoying when one of the basic freedoms is speech and it’s used for hate. But, yeah, nothing I can do about it. I agree, I’ve been splitting up my energy and it’s surprisingly draining, even though I feel like I’m not doing enough. Hmmm.. Anyway, many stories are beginning to make their rounds, and I have been reading the ones I have come across. All of them are touching and heartbreaking, and just unbelievable at the same time.
I hope they make a speedy recovery too. All of them, not just Carli.
Christine, I had no idea they were doing this to other victims too! I think I should be glad you haven’t told me. I try to not to read the comments on this blog because of all the negativity that I don’t need, from mean-spirited or just plain ignorant people. My goodness, that is just awful. I can’t even… wow. If I ever see something like that, Ill probably end up chewing someone a new one. That is wrong, I don’t care who you are.
Yeah, it’s like a virtual lynch mob! I don’t understand it, I’ve never seen anything like this before.

Wow.. good on you that you are brave enough to recall such a traumatizing experience in your life. After reading I feel compelled to at least acknowledge your story and send out good vibes your way to a speedy recovery. When I heard about this tragic event my heart sank for all of you that were subjected to such torment all because you wanted to enjoy a night out with family,friends,spouses etc… What has this world come to when even going to a movie theater invokes fear in your psyche? I am sure I can speak on behalf of all Canadians when I say our prayers are with all of the victims of this sad sad day in, not only American history, but world history. We are all connected as human beings, despite our national territorial boundaries, and in saying that we all share the emotional baggage this event has caused. May you never ever ever be subjected to experience such pain ever in your life again… but I’m sure now the next tattoo won’t even phase you, will it?
I am also compelled to address the people who find it so hard to bite their tongues with their cut throat garbage that they are spewing in here – get over yourselves.
First of all, ninety-nine percent of us need therapy! One does not just have experience such an event to require counselling – trust me. Every single person on this earth could use some therapy – perhaps our world would be a much safer, saner, and peaceful place if we all sought it. This girl experienced something that none of us would ever wish on our own enemies to experience (well, I’ll speak for myself on this one) and god dammit she should seek counselling! Flashbacks are torture.. and flashbacks are only the beginning of it.. from what I read this girl already suffers from anxiety and this event probably doubled or even tripled it and on a subconscious level multiplied it 10 fold. You people are nobodies to speak this way to a person who just wanted to speak her mind – on top of this, you only read what you want to read – if you hadn’t noticed she also wrote that her feelings towards the others were mixed up … she felt anger but she also felt guilt (perhaps because she didn’t warn them? or scream for them to move? or who knows.. but nonetheless, guilt.) and host of other emotions that ran through her body.. she did not dwell or specifically speak about her anger or her conviction. She wanted to thank all those who made sure she survived and all those who healed her physical pain. So please, enough of this bullshit from you guys.. ENOUGH. You are the insensitive assholes here.. if you don’t like what she felt or had to say, you can click exit and move on.. and you don’t have to donate if you don’t consider her worthy of your money or time or help. It’s so easy to just bite your tongue and go away.. but no – you insist on acting like douchebags… shame.
Anyway, good luck to you both!! May the rest of your lives only see lightness, happiness, laughter and love – and remember, you ARE blessed.. because you led a life that helped save you.. you are blessed because you were given a brain that functions that reacts and you are blessed because of the choices you made leading up to these events..
